Jerome Wiley Segovia is GovernmentCIO Magazine’s Drupal developer. He’s a certified telephony engineer and has over 10 years' experience in the IT services industry (primarily in CRM, telephony and database-driven web application development), including stints at EDS, Tech Data Corporation, Veterans Affairs Department and the Export-Import Bank of the U.S.
He holds a bachelor's degree in Economics from Hanover College (Hanover, Indiana), having previously graduated from the American School of Asuncion high school in Paraguay, South America. His father John was appointed USAID country director for Paraguay and his mother Maria made a career teaching seven languages.
Wiley Segovia became politically active in 2003, when he built and maintained a national Latino organizer registration website for a progressive presidential campaign, before relocating to Iowa and other states for the last six weeks of the primary cycle. He subsequently assisted on the rulemaking committee for the national Democratic Party.
Wiley Segovia is currently engaged in researching material on the history of the adoption of the Drupal content management system in the U.S., and more specifically, at various federal agencies. He's also a fan of “Flash Gordon,” “Star Trek Continues” and the musical stylings of the Norwegian group Ylvis.
